How much it costs to change a lock in Madrid
The price, agreed before we come up.
Changing a cylinder or a full lock is the most common job in flats with high guest turnover. The cost depends on whether you replace only the cylinder, the whole lock, or need the door opened first. These are our Madrid rates, labour first and materials billed at cost.

Guide prices exclude VAT and are current for 2026 in central Madrid. Labour is included; materials are billed separately at supplier cost. No travel charge inside the M-30. We always confirm the final price on WhatsApp before travelling.

Frequently asked questions
- Is changing the cylinder cheaper than the lock?
- Yes. If the lock works and you only want to cancel old keys, the cylinder is enough: labour is the same and the part costs considerably less.
- How fast do you arrive?
- Under four hours for urgent jobs inside the M-30. If it can wait, a scheduled visit within 24-48 hours costs €65.
- Do you supply extra keys?
- Yes, ordered with the cylinder and billed at cost. For short-let flats we usually leave labelled sets per flat.
