Breakers, light points and designer switch plates

Electrical diagnosis and repair in an occupied home: tripping breakers, dead circuits, designer switch plates and decorative light fittings replaced without damaging ceilings or mouldings.

Scope of the service

What is included

  • Tracing a tripping RCD circuit by circuit.
  • Replacing MCBs and RCDs and retightening the consumer unit.
  • Sockets, switches and designer plates (Jung, Gira, Berker, Bticino).
  • Fitting and replacing light fittings, wall lights and chandeliers with reinforced anchors.
  • Dimmers, presence detectors and scene lighting circuits.
  • Measurement and verification with clamp meter and insulation tester.

Materials and equipment

  • Branded gear (Schneider, Hager, Legrand) and plates matching the existing range.
  • Halogen-free cable, quick connectors and junction boxes.
  • Chemical or through anchors for heavy, large-format fittings.
  • Floor and furniture protection, with dust extraction while drilling.
Estimated timings
  • Tripping breaker diagnosis: 1-2 hours.
  • Socket or switch change: 30-45 minutes per point.
  • Light fitting installation: 45-90 minutes.
  • Full consumer unit replacement: half a day, by appointment.

Indicative prices, VAT not included, first hour of labour included. Additional hour €45. Materials at cost + 15% with the supplier invoice. No call-out charge inside the M-30; €20 up to the M-40. The final price is confirmed in writing before we start.

Service limits

We do not carry out complete new-build electrical installations or certification for properties with no existing installation. Appliances under warranty go to the official service.
